Hi friends-
Well, it is an amazing day. I was glued to the television most of the day yesterday and can’t believe Obama did it!!! I really do believe that this marks the beginning of (at least) four years of hope and change regardless of who you personally voted for. I don’t usually mix politics and music but one thing I have been incredibly concerned about is the perception of the US around the world. I truly believe that we have now directly communicated to this globe that we, as a country, stand for goodness, fairness, justice, and are a country that will better strive for peace.
Okay! Now that I said my piece, let’s talk music.
I have a couple of NYC shows in the next week and am excited to get back out there and play. My first show is at one of my favorite venues, Rockwood Music Hall. I am playing a midnight show so definitely on the late side but that’s okay:) The second show is a week from today at another one of my favoritos, The Sidewalk Cafe. So as I type here, I type from my new desktop. I got tired of the scrunching over the laptop on the couch and decided that a desktop would, if nothing else, remind me of the importance of good posture. 
I love this computer. I got the IMAC. It really rocks. And I have been going to my one to one training every week so I can learn how to use all this thing has to offer. I feel so responsible!
I am going to sign off for now but I hope you are doing great and feel positive about the future of this great country even if you didn’t vote for Obama! It is going to be a terrific four years…especially if we can all relearn the importance of working together!!
